Summer is finally here and so are the summer programs! This year, there are so many different options to choose from for any child to get a great experience that they deserve. From art camps to outdoors ones, there are numerous options for you to choose from. We’ll break it down with all the different options out there.

Adventure Camps

The Colorado Mountain Club Youth Education Program has different day camps, overnight trips, and climbing camps this June, July, and August. If you like to be outdoors and make new friends at the same time, this is a great program to choose. Ages vary on different camps, the general age range is 9 to 18. 

Pedal Adventure Camps has multiple different options for their activities. Pedal Adventure is about teaching kids bike etiquette and the rules of the road. If you enjoy biking, one of these camps will be right up your alley. You’ll be biking to different fun places in Denver that make the city great. As they say, “Denver’s just a big playground.” They have different camps throughout June, July, and August. The age range is 7 to 15. 

Avid4 Adventure is about teaching kids the power of the outdoors. They have different day, resident, and expedition camps to choose from. Kids of all different ages are welcome to these camps with the age ranging to Pre-K all the way to high schoolers. If you love being outside and learning new skills, you’ll want to be at one of these camps.

Academic Camps

iD Tech holds camps at different Universities in Colorado. There’s overnight and day camps to choose from. The age range is children 7 to 17. If your child has been interested in technology and wants to learn more, this is the camp for you. They’ll be able to master new tech skills and collaborate with new friends to make different projects.

DEN Academy is an introduction to the world of aviation at the Denver International Airport. This camp is for students entering 7th through 10th grades. You’ll get to tour the airport and receive knowledge about the inner working and how to start a career there. The camp starts in July and is six weeks long, meeting every Saturday. And it’s free to participate!


Gold Crown Foundation runs a Drone Camp in late July. This is for teens ages 12 to 18. You’ll get to learn all about drones and how to build your own! Every person will get to take home the drone that they built in camp. 

Art Camps


Digistars Make-A-Movie has different digital storytelling programs for kids. Kids will be able to make stop motion animation or do live action filmmaking. They’ll be able to bring their stories to life and have fun making their own films. There’s different weeklong, weekend, and vacation day camps to choose from. These camps are for elementary and middle school students. Camps run throughout the summer until August. 

MOTH Contemporary Circus Center holds different circus camps for ages 4 to adults. These camps range from introduction to the circus all the way to professional training level! Camps run throughout June and July. You’ll be able learn new skills and make friends in a safe and supportive environment. 


Lake Dillon Theatre Company holds different youth workshops through June, July, and August. You’ll be able to learn new skills and knowledge in the performance arts. Ages range on the different camps. The workshops end with a performance free to the public. 

This is only a small selection of different camps you can choose from in Denver this summer. There’s definitely a selection for every single person to be able to choose something that interests them. Make sure to have fun!
